Whilst the BBC welcomes applications from deaf, disabled and neurodivergent people for any of its advertised roles and certainly encourages disabled people to apply for any roles we also have a positive action employment programme called EXTEND.

BBC EXTEND ringfences roles that only people defined under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 or the Equality Act 2010 can apply for.
We recognise that disabled people are under represented in our workforce and our goal is to create more opportunities for disabled people at the BBC.

BBC roles can range from a BBC NI specific role or can be based in Belfast Broadcasting House, Blackstaff House or Radio Foyle working to central depts.
