To contribute to the provision of a modern, professional and responsive service to support NIHE business delivery by providing a bricklaying service for Housing Executive properties while upholding safety guidelines and complying with all applicable Codes and Regulations in line with our vision and values.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

·         1. Have successfully completed an apprenticeship in Bricklaying (either time served or skills based)

·         2. 2 years’ post Apprenticeship Bricklaying experience* (Please include dates)

*Relevant experience will be interpreted as working as a bricklayer on improvement or maintenance of properties.

·         3. Be willing to undertake additional training outside of core trade including Level 2 Multi-skilling or be willing to attain within a specified time frame

·         4. Can demonstrate sound practical knowledge and understanding of current Health and Safety requirements and legislation in a maintenance/repair environment.

·         5. A full current driving licence to enable the post holder to carry out the required duties of this post.

Desirable Criteria

·         1. Relevant experience* in providing a response maintenance service.

*Relevant experience will be interpreted as working as a bricklayer on improvement or maintenance of properties.

·         2. A full current driving licence which includes C1 licence category.
