Salary: £51,802 – £61,609 annum.  We also have an excellent pension scheme with an employer contribution of 19%.

To ensure the effective and efficient management of the Planning, Development and Services functions within the Department and to support the Assistant Director in delivering Departmental objectives.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • 1. Possess a degree or equivalent level qualification (Level 6*) in either a building/construction discipline, or an estates management/facilities management discipline (or equivalent related subject)

It will be the responsibility of the applicant to demonstrate equivalency

  • 2. Can demonstrate at least three years’ relevant experience of estate and contract management at a senior level in a large multi-site organisation** (Please include dates)

**NIHE employs in excess of 3,500 staff, with 46 sites, and manages a revenue budget of circa £1.2bn. Experience at a senior level should include responsibility for line management of a team, and/or provision of leadership and guidance to other staff.

3. Can demonstrate significant relevant experience in each of the following areas (please provide specific examples):

  • A) Management and monitoring of contracts to ensure they are delivered on time and to budget.
  • B) Management of a property portfolio to ensure buildings are safe, secure and fit for purpose.
  • C)  Management of a property portfolio to include experience of lease management and the delivery of Value For Money.
  • 4. Possess a current driving licence or have access to a form of transport that will permit the candidate to meet the requirements of the post in full.
